While Spaniards Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa battled it out for the 2012 MotoGP crown, there is a new Spanish superstar waiting in the wings. 19-year-old Marc Marquez will move up to MotoGP to replace retiring double world champion Casey Stoner at Honda next year. The kid looks more than ready after a dominating campaign in the 2012 Moto2 championship.
Marquez finished his last ever Moto2 race in style. In Valencia he won his ninth race of the season after starting 33rd and last. By the end of the first lap he had already passed 22 competitors, most of which he left for dead in the first two turns.
