Team FSE will once again be competing in collaboration with its partner Historic Rally Promotions at the upcoming Ypres Historic Rally.
The joint effort by FSE and HRP is sure to thrill the fans of old-school rally spectacle from the glory days of the sport with three generations of extraordinary Ford rally cars.
Long-time Team FSE duo Robert Droogmans, former European Rally Champion, and his co-driver Johnny Vangrieken will spearhead the battle for Ypres in their spectacular Ford Escort MkII.
Droogmans and Vangrieken are gunning for a third overall victory in four editions, having won the popular event in 2010 and 2011.
Historic Rally Promotions Team owner Kurt Vanderspinnen joins Droogmans in a first generation Ford Escort together with his respective nagivator Ruud Strooper.
The Ford dynasty is completed by the marvellous Ford Cortina Lotus driven by Steven De Bock and Nico Weyens.
The trio will face huge competition in the form of local aces Stefaan Stouf, Paul Lietaer and Didier Vanwijnsberghe as well as Belgian rally legend Patrick Snijers.
Foreign challengers add massive colour and character to the starting grid with Italy’s Enrico Brazzoli in a 1983 Lancia Rally and France’s Christian Chambord in a gorgeous 1973 Alpine A 110 among many European entries.
The 2013 Ypres Historic Rally takes places on the twisty asphalt roads around the historic Flanders Fields on 28 and 29 June.
